I was recently at a work-related conference in Toronto, and attended a trade show where we looked at some new and emerging products in the realm of over-the-counter medications and devices.
One of the booths I checked out was Origin BioMed, makers of Neuragen. For those of you who haven’t heard of this product, it is a topical product which is used to treat nerve-related pain at the site of origin. It is composed of essential oils which have been shown to improve the pain symptoms of people who suffer from neuralgias (nerve pain disorders) including diabetic neuropathy, and post-herpetic (shingles) neuropathy.
Nerve pain is a tricky condition to treat, and often oral medications for this condition have debilitating side effects. Neuragen is a unique product which was formulated exclusively to treat nerve pain disorders.
Ingredients include: lavender essential oil, geranium oil, eucalyptus essential oil, tea tree oil, and bergamot essential oils among others.
Neuragen is meant for topical use only and is not meant to be applied to broken skin. It should not be applied to mucous membranes which include the eye area, nose and mouth. Persons with diabetes who have not been diagnosed with diabetic neuropathy should consult their health care practitioner before use of this product.
I was give a full-sized package of Neuragen (ARV $30) from my conference, which I am happy to give away to one lucky Canadian reader.
Disclosure: I did receive this product free of charge, but am receiving no compensation for this blog post. I am not, nor have I ever worked for Origin BioMed Inc.
